John M. Wurzburger is vice president and general manager of Fasson Roll North America based in Mentor, Ohio. Fasson Roll North America is a division of Avery Dennison, a global leader in pressure-sensitive technology and innovative self-adhesive solutions for consumer products and label materials. Based in Pasadena, Calif., Avery Dennison has had significant business operations located in Northeast Ohio since 1954.

As the top executive for this division, he is responsible for strategic long-term planning and growth initiatives and the development of a customer-focused, collaborative and winning culture.

Wurzburger joined the Fasson Roll division in 1988 as a sales representative and was promoted in 1991 to marketing manager. After a four-year hiatus in which he held top management positions at Ivex Packaging Corporation, he returned to Fasson Roll North America as general manager of the Premium Packaging and Pharmaceutical division in 1997. His accomplishments were recognized in 1999 when he was promoted to vice president of the division. Beginning in 2001, He spent three-and-half years running Avery Dennison’s South American business in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the completion of his first year in South America, he was honored with the company’s prestigious “General Manager of the Year” award for businesses over $60 million.

A native of Syracuse, New York, Wurzburger earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from Cornell University and a MBA from The John Hopkins University. A three-time “All-American” lacrosse player, Wurzburger brings a special blend of dedication and competitive spirit to the tag and label industry.
