Benefits of Rosehip Oil for Skin

– It fades and heals acne scars and dark spots.
– Prevents premature wrinkles and fine lines.
– Lightens freckles and helps with hyperpigmentation.
– Heals stretch marks.
– Controls skin sebum production.
– Treats eczema and reduces rosacea.

How to Use Rosehip Oil on Face

1. Apply It Directly

Rosehip oil can be used directly on face and neck without prior dilution.

Rub 3 drops of this oil between your palms, then massage your face in upward motions.

2. Anti-Aging Serum

Simply combine rosehip oil with vitamin E oil, pomegranate seed oil, and argan oil, which also have anti-aging properties.

Take a 2 oz amber glass dropper bottle, and add in it: 1 teaspoon of rosehip oil, 1 teaspoon of pomegranate seed oil, 2 tablespoons of argan oil, and ½ teaspoon of vitamin E oil.

Once you have added these oils, you can also pour in 5 drops of geranium essential oil, 4 drops of lavender essential oil, and 3 drops of carrot seed essential oil.

Cap the bottle, and shake well. Apply 3 drops of this mixture on your face daily.

3. Spot Treatment

This one is useful for acne scars, freckles, eczema patches and under eye wrinkles.

Just place 1 drop of rosehip oil on your clean index finger or a Q-tip, and rub it on the areas of concern.

4. Night Facial Cream Recipe

Take a large bowl, and using a hand mixer, mix in it these ingredients:

2 teaspoons of rosehip oil, 2 tablespoons of soft Shea butter, and 12 drops of lavender essential oil.

Once you get a creamy substance, move it into a clean container. Apply a pea-sized amount on the face at night.

Although rosehip oil rarely causes skin irritation, it is wise to do a patch test before using it full scale.

Just put 2 drops of the oil on your inner wrist – if there is no reaction after 1-2 hours, then it is safe for you to use.

Keep rosehip oil refrigerated, since its shelf life is only 6 months.
