Wondering what essential oils to diffuse when you have a sinus headache? This recipe will help!
This is an essential oil stock blend that you can make once and diffuse multiple times. The stock bottle holds more essential oil than you’ll need for one session of diffusing. It’s very convenient, because if you get a sinus headache, the last thing you may want to do is make an essential oil blend! It’s so nice to already have this blend made and ready to diffuse.
You can make this blend in a 5 ml glass bottle with an orifice reducer in the cap. (The orifice reducer will snap into place after you make the blend and screw on the cap.)
You can use a graduated cylinder to make this blend if you don’t want to count the essential oils out drop by drop. If you don’t have a graduated cylinder, don’t worry! You can count. 1 ml is approximately 25 drops of essential oil.
Here’s the recipe!
2 ml (50 drops) Frankincense essential oil (Boswellia carterii) (1:27)
2 ml (50 drops) Ravintsara essential oil (Cinnamomum camphora ct. 1,8 cineole) (2:18)
½ ml (13 drops) Peppermint essential oil (Mentha × piperita) (2:55)
At 3:40, you can see me twist the cap onto the bottle, which snaps the orifice reducer into place. Now I can get all the benefits of these three essential oils in a single drop!
When you have a sinus headache, you can diffuse about 10 drops of this stock blend to bring relief. The aroma of these essential oils is so lovely, I would be drawn to it for any sinus-related issue. A single deep breath of it brings a feeling of openness and clarity to the head.
